The Shirati Health, Education and Development Foundation, or SHED Foundation, is a registered NGO with the Tanzanian government since January of 2006 as a not-for-profit company.
With its head office in Shirati, a rural village near the shores of Lake Victoria in Northwestern Tanzania, SHED Foundation has a broad mandate to work anywhere in mainland Tanzania in the areas of health, education, and development, including clean water awareness and environmental issues.
