The Shirati Health, Education, and Development Foundation, or SHED Foundation, is a registered NGO with the Tanzanian government since January of 2006 as a not for profit company.

With its head office near the shores of Lake Shirati, a rural village in northwestern Tanzania, SHED Foundation has a broad mandate to work anywhere in mainland Tanzania in the areas of health, education, and development, including clean water and environmental issues.

Our Mission

To improve health, education, and development of Mainland Tanzania, including specifically the health and education of children orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
